I'm sooooooooooooooooo bummed!!! Just found out that Colorado Springs will not be carrying her show.......... And, because we live in an area where we receive local channels, we cannot get alternate networks on our directv. BUMMMMMMMER!!!!!!!!!

It's on now... (first show)... I am very disappointed. I think she is probably nervous which doesn't help... I normally like her alot!

The set is divided up into areas depending on her topic.. the audience section can rotate to whatever set. It's 45 minutes into the show and she's already handed out 3 things to the audience..

I did see a write up in the newspapers tvguide about her show and Megan Mullally's talk show. I hadn't heard this before but Rachael's show is at least in part (if not all) being produced my Oprahs Harpo Productions. Oprah supposedly will be on one of her shows this week. Today her special guest was Diane Sawyer.

The show just seems to be all over the place...! As I said maybe it's nerves and they'll calm down and get in sync over the next week or so.

I'm with you KPW. I caught part of the show and was not impressed. Grizz, if today is representative, you will not be missing much. I know I won't be checking it out again and I really like the girl, but only in 30 minute doses. Heeee.

I like Karen from Will and Grace, but, I don't think she has the personality for a talk show host. We'll see.

I was disappointed too. I thought she spoke over her guest, and she spoke too fast. It may have been nerves, or too little experience... having a guest on seemed too distracting for her. I didn't care for the set design.

The Rachael Ray Show is on at the same time as the View in my area... so I found myself switching back and forth.

It sounded like she really hurt her finger with the knife... poor thing.

All in all it did not seem like a very good day for Rachael.

Then I'm glad. I will just keep enjoying her Food Network shows. Thanks for sharing y'all!!! Now I don't feel too bad!

I know I saw Tyra on another show last week and she was talking about her first season and how nerve wracking it is... She said she would be thinking about her next question rather than listening to what the guests were saying.. She has since relaxed and learned..

I think Rachel has the potential to make the leap from cooking show to talk show... but it depends on how quickly she can start to relax. To me, she just seemed too darned hyper... even more than normally..

I guess the day was supposed to have been themed 'firsts'..

What was with the laptop connection with a viewer at home..while she put the appetizer together? I didn't get the point? Just something different? Or maybe everyone has the ability to link with her via computer during the show... I have no clue.. I just think it might have been a gimmick that didn't go well.
