Did anyone watch American Idol Wednesday night? The insults about personal appearance weren't quite as bad as normal, which is good.

Did you see the guest judge, Carol Bayer Sager? I could have sworn it was Joan Collins for the longest time. I mean she looks exactly like Joan Collins. I kept wondering why Paula kept calling her Carol. I thought, Paula must have really lost it. THen Randy calls her Carol. It was then late in the show when I finally realized who it was. Which makes sense since Carol is a very well known songwriter...and I knew that.

I missed the first few minutes of the show so I didn't catch the intro. I did think it was strange to have Joan Collins as a judge. Anyway, when I got to work my secretary told me she had the same experience I did! LOL. They must get confused with the other all the time. I bet there were some people who watched the entire show who never realized it wasn't Joan Collins. LOL.

You know, I don't normally watch the show... But I was flipping between it and 2 other shows.. I also thought she looked alot like Joan Collins..and wondered why she was a guest critic..

Although I can't say that I recognize Carol Bayer Sager's name.

It did seem like clips from 2 or more days.. and I could tell a huge difference in Paula... One of the days she definitely seemed under the influence of something.. I could tell it in her eyes.. plus she was quieter than usual..

My husband thought it was Joan Collins too. Apparently that Carol is a big songwriter/singer. I don't remember hearing her, but I have heard alot of the songs she wrote.

I thought the judges were nicer lastnight too, Paula is wearing on my nerves alot.



Did you guys see that one guy with the long beard, kinda hippy/foreign looking? I thought when he got up there, "oh brother"...I was so shocked that he could sing. He sounded really good too. I guess you can't never tell.

I heard on the news that Randy has cancelled a scheduled appearance on The View because of comments made there against the show. I wonder if he doesn't want to be put in a postion to defend Paula's odd behavior as opposed to defending the name calling. I think he could handle defending himself against name calling, but, the Paula accusation is something else. I think that maybe he doesn't want to come right out and lie and say Paula isn't sober much of time. If he is honest, it could really hurt the show.

I saw Paula defend her conduct just this week in an interview. She said that she had trouble hearing the mic in her ear and was distracted from that. Oh my, if you saw her drunken or drugged behavior you would know how crazy that story is. She obviously has some kind of issue and is in denial. Her colleagues are enabling her to stay in denial.

I have friends who have been where she is. You cannot convince them that their unsober behavior is noticeable to other people. They just don't buy it. It's quite sad. I hope she gets some help fast. It would be very embarrassing for her is she really goes on camera live for an upcoming show and makes a fool of herself. The show will be hurt and she will be devastated.

I don't blame Randy... Sort of being caught between a rock and a hard place...and you know Rosie would 'go there'..in her questioning!

I did want to mention that it seems ever since Paula was involved in the scandal with one of the contestants, that she seems like her behavior has gotten more bizarre..

I heard there is some surprises mid season.. I wonder if all the talk about guest hosts have something to do with it.. and maybe she is put into rehab or something.. I mean the've been talking about Paul McCartney and a couple of others as guest judges..

I wonder if Paula had a long term contract with the show.. and they are just biding their time until she makes a horrible misstep..
So that they can yank her..
